Sa Bom Nim Keith Bennett
Director, Senior Master Instructor

Mr. Keith Bennett is Director and Senior Master Instructor of Keith Bennett's Soo Bahk Do Karate School. Mr. Bennett's current rank is Master in the Martial Arts. He received his Sixth Degree Black Belt (Yuk Dan) in 2007. He has studied the martial arts since 1976 and has been dedicated to Soo Bahk Do since 1982. Master Bennett received his Master Certificate and Belt in 1996. Master Bennett is also a Licensed Massage Therapist.


Kim Bennett

Manager, Certified Instructor

Mrs. Kim Bennett is Manager and Co-Owner of the school. She received her Third Degree Black Belt (Sam Dan) in 2006, and is a Kyo-Sa International Certified  Instructor.


John Perusse
Master Instructor

Mr. John Perusse has been with us since December 1991. Master Perusse is currently a Fourth Degree Black Belt (Sa Dan), having received his Master Certificate and Belt in 2004.


John Ioia 

Master Instructor

Dr. John Ioia began his studies in the Martial Arts in 1968 starting in Shoto Kan Karate and then Tae Kwon Do.  He has dedicated himself to Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan since 1992, training under Sa Bom Nim Bennett.  He received his Master Certificate (Sa Dan – 4th Degree) in 2007.  Among his other accomplishments, Dr. Ioia holds a Doctoral Degree in Medicine, is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry.

                                 


Gail Hancock-Huttel 

Certified Instructor

Mrs. Gail Hancock-Huttel has been with us since 1995. She received her Third Degree Black Belt (Sam Dan) in 2006, and is a Kyo-Sa International Certified  Instructor.


Lisa Van Oyan 

Certified Instructor

Mrs. Lisa Van Oyan has been with us since 1998. She received her Third Degree Black Belt (Sam Dan) in 2006, and is a Kyo-Sa International Certified Instructor. Kyo Sa Van Oyan is an charge of our Children's Program.


Arisha Adams

Certified Instructor

Ms. Arisha Adams is currently a Second Degree Black Belt (E Dan), and is a Kyo-Sa International Certified Instructor.


Martha Carleton

Assistant Instructor

Mrs. Martha Carleton is currently a Third Degree Black Belt (Sam Dan) and has been with us since 1992. She received her Third Degree Black Belt in July 2004. Mrs. Carleton tested for Kyo Sa, International Certified Instructor in Fall 2007 and is awaiting final certification.


Scott Hosier
 

Certified Instructor

Mr. Scott Hosier received his Second Degree Black Belt (E Dan) in April 2007, he transferred to our school in 2003.  Mr. Hosier was promoted to Kyo Sa, International Certified  Instructor in 2008.

Steve Beckerman

Assistant Instructor

Mr. Steve Beckerman has been with us since 1996. He received his Second Degree Black Belt (E Dan) in 2003. He will be testing for his Third Degree (Sam Dam) in October 2008.


Marissa Hancock-Huttel

Assistant Instructor

Ms. Marissa Hancock-Huttel has been with us since 1995.

She received her Second Degree Black Belt (E Dan) in April 2007.


Scott Hosier, Jr. 
 

Assistant Instructor

Mr. Scott Hosier, Jr. received his Second Degree Black Belt (E Dan) in April 2007, he transferred to our school in 2003.


James Scholefield
 

Certified Assistant Instructor

Mr. James Scholefield received his First Degree Black Belt (Cho Dan) in 2005 and started training with us in 1998.  Mr. Scholefield was promoted to the rank of E Dan (second degree black belt) October 2007. He is Jyo-Kyo, Certified International Assistant Instructor.


Mallory Hosier
 

Assistant Instructor

Ms. Mallory Hosier received her First Degree Black Belt (Cho Dan) in 2005, she transferred to our school in 2003. Ms. Hosier was promoted to the rank of E Dan (Second Degree Black Belt) October 2007.


Katelyn Epstein

 Junior Assistant Instructor

Ms. Katelyn Epstein received her First Degree Black Belt (Cho Dan) in 2005, she started training in 2000.


Brendan Hagen

 Junior Assistant Instructor

Mr. Brendan Hagen received his First Degree Black Belt (Cho Dan) in 2005, he started training in 2000. He will be testing for his second degree
(E Dan) April 2008.


Quintin Burnett
Assistant Instructor

Mr. Burnett has been a student since July 2002, he was  promoted to Cho Dan (1st degree Black Belt) October 2006. He is currently working on Jyo Kyo (certified Junior instructor certification). Mr. Burnett is temporary on loan to people of Burlington, VT and we look forward to his occasional guest appearances in our school.  We wish him the best of luck in all that he does.

Ingrid Sill
Certified Assistant Instructor

Mrs. Ingrid Sill has been a student since 2003 and received her First Degree Black Belt (Cho Dan) in October 2007. She is a past member of our PVT committee. She is Jyo-Kyo, Certified International Assistant Instructor.

Christopher Sill
Program Director

Mr. Sill was asked to help the School in the Position of Program Director in 2007. He currently holds the rank of E Gup.  Mr. Sill helps develop the advertising and marketing materials and he maintains our website. He also works with our new students to get them familiar with and started in our program. His wife (Ingrid) and son (Alexander) both train at our school. Mr. Sill is the recipient of the 2007 Student of the Year Award.
