Embrace Change
In the later part of the 19th century
a Master of Karate in Okinawa brought together sequences of blocks,
strikes, grabs and throws from forms born out of ancient Chinese
martial arts. These became what is know today, in many styles by
different names, as the Pyung Ahn Hyungs. Pyung Ahn is more
than a series of moves and forms, it is a philosophy on how to live
life and greet nature. It has been said that to understand and
incorporate Pyung Ahn in your life is to develop a sense of deep
inner peacefulness and confidence in oneself. We instruct our
students in the philosophy and physical teaching of Pyung Ahn as
they were handed down to us by Grand Master Hwang Kee, the founder
of Tang Soo Do (*Soo

Master Keith Bennett trained under the original Kwan Jang Nim Hwang
Kee and his successor Kwan Jang Nim H.C Hwang. We hold true to
the important philosophies of KJN Hwang Kee. His vision of
peaceful brotherhood throughout the world obtained through the
dedication, self sacrifice and practice of Martial Arts is our
vision. We do not train for sport, we train to improve
ourselves, to help others improve and we commit ourselves to our
community to help improve the world around us. We encourage
you to join with us and help strengthen the foundation upon which we
can build a better future for all.
To learn more about our teachings and our programs, we invite you to
visit the school and experience the new Keith Bennett's Karate
Academy.
